Odds on Arsene Wenger to leave Arsenal reach new low

Published:

Arsene Wenger’s odds of leaving Arsenal have reached record lows.

We can report that at 1/5, the Frenchman’s chances of leaving are lower than they’ve ever been in his 26 year reign of the Gunners.

Having lost twice to Manchester City inside seven days, Arsenal’s season took another sour turn with a 2-1 loss away at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

The result marked only the second time in Wenger’s Arsenal tenure that they had lost four games in succession.

Now 33 points off top spot in the Premier League and 13 points off the top four, 20/1 says Sean Dyche’s Burnley side (currently five points behind) finish the season ahead of the Gunners.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Wenger is continuing to break records this season – unfortunately for him they’re all the wrong ones and he’s now shorter than ever to be sent packing.”

Next up for Arsenal is a Europa League trip to the San Siro to face Genarro Gattuso’s revitalised AC Milan.

The Serie A side are 21/20 favourites to hand Arsenal a fifth defeat on the spin. It’s 12/5 for Wenger’s men to secure a much-needed victory on Thursday night.
