A Ladbrokes couple have got engaged on Gold Cup day in Cheltenham, the bookies can reveal.
The proposal took place in the Winchcombe Street branch of the town centre just before Native River romped home on the biggest day of the festival.
Just before popping the question to girlfriend Sania, Matt also managed to correctly predict Native River would win Gold Cup live on Ladbrokes TV.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “What a fantastic week of racing action we’ve had, topped off with the perfect ending as Matt gave Sania the shock of her life live on Ladbrokes TV!”
He added: “We wish the happy couple the very best for their future together.”
