Tottenham v Newport County: Hosts to run riot after the interval

Tottenham Hotspur needed a late goal to secure a replay in their FA Cup fourth round tussle with Newport County. But there’s little doubt Mauricio Pochettino’s men will breeze to victory as the pair face off at Wembley.

Spurs have managed nine wins and two draws in their last 11 home games, including victories over Real Madrid and Manchester United.

It’s hard to see past Tottenham in the Match Betting at 1/12. Meanwhile, it’s 12/1 for a draw after 90 minutes, and 33/1 for Newport to pull off a seismic cupset.

However, with such modest wins available on Spurs simply winning, the best value lies elsewhere.

One man who loves this competition is South Korean winger Heung-Min Son. The 25-year-old scored six times in five FA Cup outings last season. Son to Score and Tottenham to Win is a 19/20 shot, while he’s 3/1 to Score 2 or More Goals.

However, Newport have found the net in eight of their last nine games. Spurs to Win and Both Teams to Score is 7/4. And following goals in five of his previous nine outings, Padraig Amond could offer value in the Anytime Scorer market at 7/2.

While the Exiles could find the net, chances are they’ll be seen off by a hefty margin.

Tottenham have outscored the opposition either side of half-time in 13 games already this term. Spurs to Win Both Halves looks a solid bet at 7/10.

On the big Wembley pitch, the League Two outfit will likely tire out as the game goes on. That happened to AFC Wimbledon here in the previous round, as they conceded three goals without reply in the second period.

Second Half Handicap: Tottenham -2 looks good value at 11/5.

Meanwhile, having scored five or more goals in two of their last seven home games, Spurs to Score 5+ Goals could prove popular at 9/4.
