Sprint star Usain Bolt 16/1 to make ‘dream’ move to Man United

Following Usain Bolt’s recent announcement that he has signed for a mystery football club, our traders aren’t ruling out a move to Manchester United.

The 31-year-old has long expressed his desire of a “dream move” to Old Trafford, and we make it 16/1 for United to be Bolt’s next club.

The current favourites are Mamelodi Sundowns at 7/4. Bolt trained with the South African heavyweights earlier this year, and could well be their next marquee signing.

However, a move to David Beckham’s MLS franchise at 7/2 can’t be ruled out. Nor can a switch to Borussia Dortmund, with the Bundesliga giants 5/1 to sign the Jamaican, having failed to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Bolt’s announcement has certainly got people talking, with punters guessing who his first football contract might be with.”

He added: “A dream move to Man United hasn’t been ruled out – although it does look unlikely – so could Dortmund be about to replace Aubameyang with the sprint star!?”

Next up for Man United is a trip to Crystal Palace next Monday, with 8/15 for a Red Devils win.

But could that game be overshadowed by a swoop for the world’s fastest man?
