Punters back Cillian Murphy to play Bond, James Bond

Ladbrokes traders have slashed the odds on Cillian Murphy becoming the next actor to play James Bond after a flurry of bets from punters.
With rumours that Danny Boyle could direct the next 007 film, there’s been plenty of backing for Murphy to suit up as Bond.
His odds have been slashed from 33/1 to 12/1 as a result.
Murphy has worked with Boyle on 28 Days Later and Sunshine.
James Norton and Tom Hardy are 3/1 joint-favourites to land the iconic role.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Boyle and Murphy have collaborated in the past, and the betting suggests punters are putting two and two together for the next 007 film. Fans of Peaky Blinders would love to see Tommy Shelby become James Bond.”
