Manchester City have emerged as genuine contenders to sign Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, according to our traders.

Real Madrid have long been considered the 27-year-old’s most-likely next destination. The Champions League holders are still 7/4 favourites to bring him in.

But Man City are now just 5/2 to win the race to sign Hazard.

It’s looking more likely than ever that the Belgium captain moves on this summer. Our traders have him 7/4 to leave Stamford Bridge.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It looked as though Madrid were the only club willing to meet Chelsea’s asking price for Hazard, but the latest odds suggest Man City will test their willingness to sell when the transfer window opens.”

In the immediate future, Hazard will be vital to Chelsea’s hopes against Barcelona in Tuesday’s huge Champions League tie.
