Georgiou proving popular with punters ahead of Grand Prix

Michael Georgiou is the second-most popular pick with Ladbrokes punters to win this year’s World Grand Prix.
There’s been a flurry of support for Georgiou on the back of his Snooker Shoot Out triumph.
He’s a 300/1 long shot to go all the way. And it would be one of the biggest upsets in snooker for years if he did it.
The 3/1 favourite Ronnie O’Sullivan is the only player that’s had more outright bets placed on him to win the tournament.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Georgiou clearly impressed plenty of punters last time out at the Snooker Shoot Out and while the odds are against him to win another title this week, that hasn’t stopped fans from getting behind him in Preston.”
