Champions League tips: Sevilla to frustrate Man United in Spain
Manchester United in the knockout stages of the Champions League for the first time in four years.
Jose Mourinho’s side take on Sevilla tonight, and we’re bringing you all the best tips and odds for the big match.
The La Liga side know their way around European competition. They’ve won the UEFA Cup/Europa League five times since 2006.
This will be the Red Devils’ sixth away game in their last seven fixtures, and they have lost at Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United in that time.
They’ve won only three of their last nine away games in the Champions League too.
And with Sevilla losing only one of their last 35 matches at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, a draw could be on the cards.
This is unlikely to be a goal-fest. Five of Sevilla’s last eight home games have seen under 2.5 goals. The same applies for five of Man United’s last six on the road.
Our traders are 7/10 about going under 2.5 goals tonight.
But while goals may be in short supply, quality won’t be. Wissam Ben Yedder has shone for Sevilla this season.
United will hope Romelu Lukaku can come good on the big occasion. The Belgian is often criticised for going missing when it matters, but is favourite to open the scoring at 5/1.
Alexis Sanchez will be keen to impress having endured much pain at this stage of the tournament with Arsenal.
The Chilean is 11/2 to break the deadlock and score his first European goal for the Red Devils.
