Bayern Munich v Besiktas: Back hosts to win high-scoring encounter

Published:
Sandro Wagner of Bayern Munich

With Kara Kartallar winning just two of their last eight on their travels – including defeat to lowly Osmanlispor – it’s hard to see past a win for the hosts.

Bayern to Win is 1/7, with 15/2 on the draw, and 22/1 available for a shock Besiktas win.

But with skinny odds available on the home side to simply win, we reckon the best value lies elsewhere.

The Turkish side have scored in each of their last 16 games, while Jupp Heynckes’ men have managed just one clean sheet in eight. Bayern to Win and Both Teams to Score at 7/4 looks good value, while it’s 6/5 for a simple BTTS.

Three of the Bundesliga giants’ last six games have produced six or more goals. So Over 5.5 Goals at 9/2 seems a lively longshot.

Der FCB have also come from behind to win in three of those six, so Bayern to Win from Behind at 8/1 could also be worth a flutter.

There looks to be value in the goalscorer markets on both sides.

For the visitors, Alvaro Negredo has scored 12 goals in 17 games. He also found the net against Bayern in this competition for Manchester City. The Spaniard is 10/3 to Score Anytime at the Allianz Arena.

As regards the hosts, Sandro Wagner could be the man to back. He’s settled in nicely since his January move from Hoffenheim, and netted at Wolfsburg on Saturday. He’s 6/5 to register against Besiktas.
