The January transfer window is upon us, and it looks set to be a busy one.

With plenty of big moves on the cards, we’ve taken a look at 10 of the most sought-after players this month. So, who could be heading to pastures new?

Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

The Gunners forward has less than six months left on his contract, and boss Arsene Wenger seems ready to cash in. Chelsea and Man City have been linked, while Liverpool are now rumoured to be keen, with their own wing wizard set for the exit…

Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

While the January destination of Sanchez and Evans is far from clear, the Reds ace looks all-but-certain to end the month in a Barcelona shirt. The only discussion point now seems to be how much they can force Barca to cough up for his services.

Leon Goretzka (Schalke 04)

Talking of the Anfield club, they’re likely to have a rather different line-up once the month ends. At just 22-years-old, central-midfielder Goretzka is already the key man for Schalke and has bagged six goals in 12 international appearances, for Germany.

Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid)

With Atleti’s transfer ban lifted, and the re-signed Diego Costa now eligible to play for the Spanish giants, January could be Griezmann’s cue to leave. Man United had been frontrunners for his signature, but now La Liga rivals Barcelona are 6/4 favourites.

Jonny Evans (West Bromwich Albion)

The Baggies’ captain has been the one shining light at The Hawthorns this term. But they look set to lose him in January. Former club Manchester United are keen, while the 30-year-old is also linked with Manchester City and Arsenal.

Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)

The big surprise isn’t that the Algerian could leave Leicester this month, but that they’ve held onto him for this long. Arsenal and Chelsea have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old, but AS Roma now lead the betting to sign him at 2/1.

Theo Walcott (Arsenal)

After more than a decade in North London, the winger looks set to rejoin boyhood club Southampton. The Saints are 2/5 to re-sign the 28-year-old, who has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal. We reckon this deal could be done very soon.

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)

Despite claiming he’s staying at Selhurst Park beyond January, the Ivory Coast international wouldn’t be the first player to pledge allegiance and then exit. He’d have no shortage of options, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all strongly linked.

Paulo Dybala (Juventus)

The Juve forward is already on 17 goals for the season, and his form has caught the eye of those at Old Trafford. United are 5/4 favourites to sign the Argentine, but Barcelona and Real Madrid are also in the running. Are we set for a bidding war?

Luke Shaw (Man United)

A few short weeks back, it seemed the 22-year-old would be a definite departure. Boss Jose Mourinho had aimed plenty of criticism at the left-back over his fitness and lifestyle.

Having now started four successive games, he may have saved his Old Trafford career. But the likes of Tottenham are ready to pounce if Jose does let him go in January.

They’re our picks of the top targets this month, but there are plenty more players who could be set for big moves.
