The January transfer window is beginning to warm up with a number of major moves coming to fruition.

Premier League clubs’ phone-lines are probably ringing off the hook right now. We’ve had a look at four rumours hot off the press today…

Malcom

Bordeaux forward Malcom is reportedly in the middle of a tug of war between ArsenalManchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal had been in the driving seat initially, but now United and Spurs have entered the market for the Brazilian.

The 20-year-old has managed seven league goals in France this year for the South-Coast club and will cost in the region of £45m.

Theo Walcott

It’s been obvious for a long time that Theo Walcott’s time at Arsenal was coming to an end. The 28-year-old has been kicking his heels on the Gunners’ bench for the majority of the season.

And it looks like Sam Allardyce is ready to rescue him from North London obscurity with Everton making a reported £20m bid.

The Toffees badly need an injection of pace in their squad and they don’t come more jet-heeled than the England forward.

Alex Pritchard

This one looks more like a done deal rather than a rumour. Huddersfield Town are reported to have all-but-sealed a deal for Norwich City number 10, Alex Pritchard.

The former Spurs youngster has impressed since returning from long-term injury and an initial £11m deal has been agreed.

For a 24-year-old as talented as Pritchard – who cost £8m – that’s some seriously good business by the Terriers.

Harry Arter

David Moyes is on the hunt for reinforcements at West Ham United and Bournemouth star Harry Arter is on his wanted list.

The Hammers will have to go a lot higher than the reported £5m offered for the Cherries midfield general.

Arter – a Republic of Ireland international – is valued at around £15m by the South-Coast club and has three years left on his current deal.

Moyes will have to rifle through the club’s pockets to find the cash and land his man.
