Premier League picks: Tight affair in Spurs-Utd, another City stroll

There’s a host of Premier League fixtures tonight with seven English top-flight games to sink our teeth into.
Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United is the big clash of the evening.
Among the others, Manchester City host West Bromwich Albion, Everton welcome Leicester City and Chelsea meet Bournemouth.
Here are our best bets from the seven games…
Tottenham v Man United
As games go in the Premier League top six, Spurs v Man United is as good as it gets. Spurs are 27/20 favourites, with United 21/10 outsiders.
Those odds are somewhat justified by Mauricio Pochettino’s good home record against United. The Argentine has overseen two wins and a draw from three games against their rivals.
Added to that, Jose Mourinho maintains a poor away record against the top six sides. However, United did beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates earlier in the season.
Both sides are in form. And both have a handful of injuries to contend with. It’s hard to get away from the feeling that this game has draw written all over it at 12/5.
Man City v West Brom
West Brom arrive at the Etihad Stadium in decent form. The Baggies have won four points from their last two league games and dumped Liverpool out of the FA Cup at Anfield.
However, Albion will need more than that to get anything from Man City. Pep Guardiola’s side remain in irresistible form, especially at home. The Citizens have won 11 of 12 home games, scoring 42 goals.
There’s a history of high-scoring affairs between these two. The last 10 games between the pair have seen Over 2.5 Goals. Five of them have seen Over 3.5 Goals. And six of them have had both teams score.
Everton v Leicester
There’s another intriguing clash at Goodison Park as Everton host Leicester City. The Foxes are in better form than Sam Allardyce’s outfit, who haven’t won a league game in six attempts.
However, the only side to beat the Toffees at home – outside of Man United and Arsenal – was Burnley back on 1 October.
The two teams can’t be separated in the W-D-W market with Everton at 9/5 and Leicester at 7/4.
Four of Everton’s six home games under Allardyce have seen Under 2.5 Goals with BTTS failing to land in four of them.
BTTS – no is nicely priced at 20/23, while Under 2.5 Goals is 8/13. Unlike Leicester, Everton had no FA Cup tie at the weekend and will be well-rested. Backing a Blues win at 9/5 could pay dividends.
Elsewhere…
Chelsea host a Bournemouth side who are winless away from home since 4 November. The Blues are 3/10 to win at Stamford Bridge, and 17/20 to win on the -1 Handicap.
Newcastle United host Burnley with both sides in poor form and are struggling to score goals. The draw at 21/10 looks the best bet.
Stoke City and Watford clash at the Potteries with both sides having new managers in the dugout. It’s Javi Gracia’s first league game and he could get that new manager bounce with a win 5/2.
It’s a six-pointer at St. Mary’s between Southampton and Brighton and Hove Albion.
Southampton haven’t won at home in the league since the end of November. And Brighton have won just once in 13 league games. Expect the two sides to cancel each other out with the draw handily priced at 5/2.
