Ladbrokes News Acca: Watford, Derby and Gillingham lead 66/1 five-fold
Published:The Ladbrokes News Team are back with their first accumulator of 2018.
With league action in full flow once more, we’re out to find the best selections for Saturday’s games.
We’re feeling confident, and have carefully perused the fixtures up and down the land.
Here’s who we’re going for this weekend…
Richard Marsh
Gillingham to beat Rochdale
An excellent run of results has hauled Gillingham out of relegation trouble and even given them a sniff of the play-offs.
They’ve lost only two of their last 14 matches in a spell which has seen them collect 11 points from the last 15 on offer.
So the Gills look excellent value at 9/5 to win at home to second-bottom Rochdale.
The Spotland side are winless in six and haven’t won an away game since April. They’ve also conceded 13 goals in their last five on the road.
Cian Carroll
Derby County to beat Birmingham City
This pick is based on a three-pronged logic.
After worries he would leave for Stoke City, Gary Rowett signed a new long-term deal at Pride Park. Rams’ players and fans alike will be buzzing they’ve kept their cracking young manager.
Rowett was incredibly sacked by Birmingham last season despite the Blues just outside the play-off places. He’ll want to get one over on his ex-employees at St. Andrews.
Derby are a far better side than Birmingham. 13/10 is value.
Dave Burin
Rotherham United to beat Oldham Athletic
The Latics are in freefall right now. Richie Wellens’ side have taken a single point from their last five games.
That’s a real contrast to the visiting Millers. They’ve won three away games on the spin, and thrashed Oldham 5-1 in Yorkshire back in September.
A Rotherham victory looks good at 7/5.
Dan Anwar
Watford to beat Southampton
Watford could pile further pressure on Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino with a 7/5 home win.
The Saints haven’t won a league game on the road since September. They’re unlikely to end that miserable streak at Vicarage Road, which means they could end the weekend in the drop zone.
Nick Murphy
Port Vale to beat Yeovil Town
Yeovil have lost nine out of their 13 away league games so far this season.
Port Vale, by contrast, have won their last three at Vale Park, including successes against high-flying pair Luton Town and Coventry City.
With that in mind, the 8/11 on the Valiants to win this weekend looks more than generous.
So there we go. This weekend’s five-fold is available at 66/1!
