ITV Racing Tips: Speredek makes each-way appeal in Clarence House

The Clarence House Chase is the highlight of a top-quality seven-race card on ITV this Saturday.
Un De Sceaux and Brain Power head the betting for the Grade 1 renewal, although we’ve got a lively longshot who could cause an upset on each-way terms.
With tips for that one, plus all the other lives races from Ascot and Haydock, it’s our ITV Racing Tips…
The opening race at Haydock looks set to be a shootout between the front two in the market.
First Flow and Waterlord are both highly-progressive types, but it’s the latter that gets the nod from us.
Donald McCain’s seven-year-old is a certified mudlark who has won before over course and distance.
He’s bidding for a hat-trick here for a yard that has twice enjoyed success in this renewal since 2010.
And with Sadler’s Wells as the gelding’s grandsire, there’s no shortage of pedigree in this horse’s hooves.
Forest des Aigles is a horse we’re seriously excited about.
The seven-year-old hacked up in the mud last time out at Bangor to preserve his unbeaten record this season and will relish the sodden conditions on Merseyside.
He’s progressive, he’s got the stamina and he can certainly outrun his price in what looks to be a race ready-made for Lucinda Russell’s raider.
Un De Sceaux is the rightful favourite to land a third successive Clarence House Chase.
But we think there’s a lot to be said for Speredek in the each-way market.
Nigel Hawke’s raider blitzed the field to win comfortably by 8l at Sandown two weeks ago.
While he has plenty to find on official figures, he has previous course and distance success on his side.
The seven-year-old is an assured jumper who has shown a touch of class already this season.
With Brain Power in particular prone to an error, don’t be surprised if Speredek leads from the front to cause an each-way shock in the afternoon’s feature race.
