Reading v Cardiff City: Bluebirds to take advantage of Wolves’ slip

Published:

Cardiff City can close the gap on Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers with victory over Reading tonight.

The Bluebirds travel to face a Royals side that have only won three of their ten home games so far this season.

Neil Warnock’s men, by contrast, are looking for their fifth league victory in a row.

After league-leaders Wolves dropped two points at home to Sunderland on Saturday, a win tonight would put the Welsh club to within two points of the Championship summit.

The visitors are the 6/4 favourites for all three points, with Reading available at 15/8. You can get 21/10 on the draw.

While City should eventually take the spoils, we’re expecting it to be a tight affair.

The South Wales side have won their last three games 2-0, 1-0, 2-0 and 3-1.

It’s 16/5 for Cardiff to Win Nil and an even tastier 4/1 about the Bluebirds and Under 2.5 Goals.

In terms of goalscorers, City will be looking towards Junior Hoilett and Danny Ward.

Both players have three goals in their last six appearances in the Championship.

We fancy Ward to break the deadlock at 5/1 and Hoilett to score Anytime at 5/2.

For the Royals, Modou Barrow scored a brace last time out against Sunderland and is considered a 2/1 shot to find the back of the net once again.

Dipping into the #GetAPrice market we also like the look of a three-part bet involving corners and cards.

You can get Both Teams to Score – No, Over 9.5 Corners and Under 35.5 Booking Points at 9/2.
