Prem Bets: Rooney to net again and Man City to make it lucky 15

Wayne Rooney

The second midweek round of Premier League games continues on Wednesday night with seven fixtures from up and down the country.

Manchester City travel to Swansea City, Tottenham Hotspur host Brighton & Hove Albion, while Everton face Newcastle United in three of our featured matches.

We’ve got you covered with the best bets from those games and one other ahead of Wednesday’s games.

Newcastle United v Everton

A visit from in-form Everton is the last thing Newcastle need.

The Magpies are winless in seven and are conceding goals at an alarming rate. They’ve let in two or more in their last five matches. That makes Everton and Under 3.5 Goals appealing at 29/10.

We also like the look of Wayne Rooney to score Anytime at 21/10. The ex-Manchester United man has bagged 13 Premier League goals against the North-East side in his career.

Swansea City v Manchester City

Manchester City should make it a record 15 Premier League wins in a row with victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

But they may not have it all their own way. City have only kept two clean sheets in their last 10 matches in all competitions.

That makes the Citizens and Both Teams to Score appealing at 9/5.

It could also be worth backing Nicolas Otamendi to continue his impressive form in front of goal. The defender has scored in his last two Premier League appearances and is 7/1 to bag again against a Swans side that struggle against set-pieces.

Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton & Hove Albion

In a game known to no-one as the Bobby Zamora derby, we’re expecting Tottenham to Win to Nil at 5/6.

Harry Kane bagged a brace in the weekend win over Stoke City. He could follow that up with another couple against a Seagulls side who don’t travel well. Kane to Score Two Goals or More is 11/5.

Liverpool v West Bromwich Albion

Jurgen Klopp will make changes as Liverpool continue to rotate ahead of a busy Christmas and New Year period.

Philippe Coutinho is expected to return and could find his name on the scoresheet. The Brazilian is 23/20 to net Anytime.

Against a Baggies side winless since mid-August, the Reds should get plenty of joy. It’s 6/4 for Liverpool to Win and Over 3.5 Goals in the contest.

Elsewhere, West Ham United host Arsenal at the London Stadium, Leicester City travel to face Southampton and Manchester United take on AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
