Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the subject of interest from a quintet of clubs from across the continent.

AC Milan, Inter Milan and former club Borussia Dortmund are all believed to be tracking the winger.

Meanwhile, in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are also both keeping tabs.

The German club are the early favourites for his signature at even-money, ahead of Spurs at 5/4 and the Gunners at 11/4.

Inter can be found at 3/1, with Milan slightly further behind at 10/3.

It comes following a period out of the first team for the Armenian who started the season as one of United’s key performers.

In the opening three games, Mkhitaryan provided five assists in just three matches as Jose Mourinho’s men romped to a hat-trick of victories.

Since then his impact on matches has diminished, as has his game time.

The 28-year-old last featured for the Red Devils in a 1-0 home win against Brighton & Hove Albion in late November.

He has been left out of the squad altogether for United’s last six matches.

That has sparked rumours of a rift with the Portuguese who could now offload the winger in January.

Dortmund are the most likely suitors to take back the player who made his name at Westfalenstadion from between 2013-16.

Peter Stoger’s outfit should be able to afford the winger and crucially have a history of bringing back former stars.

Nuri Sahin and Shinji Kagawa have both returned to the club after spells away in the past.

While Inter also have the financial clout, they would need to move players on from an overstocked midfield.

That could leave the gap open for city rivals Milan who could feel the need to strengthen.

As for Arsenal and Spurs, it appears unlikely that Mourinho would be willing to sell to a direct Premier League rival.
