Man City v Tottenham: Citizens primed to win high-scoring tussle

Man City betting news

Saturday evening throws up an absolute hum-dinger at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City host Tottenham Hotspur, in a fixture which tends to produce a glut of goals.

This meeting should be no different. The Citizens have scored a whopping 52 goals in their 17 Premier League outings. For Spurs’ part, they’ve chalked up seven in their last two games.

Add in the fact that six of the last nine meetings have produced four or more goals, and Over 3.5 looks a smart bet at 13/10.

In the player markets, we like the look of David Silva. The Spaniard has found the net four times in three games, so 3/1 for him to Score Anytime seems generous.

On the other side, it’s all about Son Heung-Min. The 25-year-old has scored in each of his last four matches, closing out the scoring twice. He’s an appealing 11/1 to be Last Goalscorer.

Meanwhile, there looks to be value in both sides netting in the opening period.

Tottenham have scored before the break in four games on the trot. And Pep Guardiola’s men have bagged three goals before the interval in their last two matches. Both Teams to Score in First Half can be backed at 3/1.

Man City are rightly favourites in the Match Betting at 8/15, as they target a 16th league win on the trot. The draw is 13/4, with Spurs 19/4 to take maximum points.

However, with goals on the cards, Man City to Win and Both Teams to Score looks a better call at 9/5.

Plenty of fans have been Tweeting @Ladbrokes with their #GetAPrice selections, and there are one or two potential crackers in there as well.

Raheem Sterling to have 2+ shots on target could be well worth backing at 2/1.
