Sunday’s Merseyside derby promises to be a cracker. Liverpool are flying right now, while Everton are showing signs of a resurgence ahead of their visit to Anfield.

Both of these sides head into derby day on the back of three successive wins. The Reds have scored an incredible 15 goals in the process, while the Toffees have chalked up an impressive nine.

Jurgen Klopp’s men look likely to come out on top, having won the last three meetings on their own patch. They’re 2/7 for victory, with 9/2 about the draw and 10/1 for the Toffees to pull off a surprise win.

That means the best value could lie elsewhere.

Three of the previous four clashes at Anfield have seen Liverpool win and four or more goals scored. Liverpool to Win and Over 3.5 Goals looks good value at 13/8.

The hosts have been especially prolific after the interval, scoring nine times in the second half in their last trio of games.

Sam Allardyce’s men have found the net after the break in four of their previous five outings. Both Teams to Score in Second Half could prove a great shout at 21/10.

But who’ll write their name in the history books?

Roberto Firmino has netted five times in as many games, including two braces. The Brazilian is 19/20 to Score Anytime. But we prefer the look of Firmino to Score Two or More Goals at 7/2.

For the Toffees, it’s hard to look past Wayne Rooney. Wazza has scored six in 12 for his boyhood club, and can boast six career goals against Liverpool to date. He’s worth a flutter to Score Anytime at 13/5.

However, if you’re looking for a lively longshot, we think a 4-2 victory for the Reds looks interesting at a hefty 33/1.
