Football Acca Tips: Everton, Palace, Stoke and Bolton lead 35/1 shot

Published:

December is here and Christmas is on its way. And hopefully the Ladbrokes News Team can start the month by delivering you a winning acca.

We were so close a week ago with four of our five selections proving bang on the money. So we’re in jolly spirits to go one better this time around.

With League One and League Two sides competing in the FA Cup this weekend, the acca focus is solely on the Premier League and Championship.

Here’s who we’re backing this Saturday…

Richard Marsh

Bolton Wanders to beat Barnsley

Twenty seasons ago this was a Premier League clash, but now both Bolton Wanderers and Barnsley are looking to avoid slipping into League One.

The Tractor boys have only lost one of their last eight games however, and that was all the all-conquering Wolverhampton Wanderers.

They’ve picked up results against each of Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham, Preston North End, Norwich City and Reading. All of whom have play-off aspirations.

So they should be able to continue their revival at home to a Barnsley side which has lost their last three games, failing to net each time. Bolton are 29/20 for another huge three points.

Cian Carroll

Stoke City to beat Swansea

This is a huge game for Mark Hughes. Stoke have invested quite heavily in their squad over the last couple of years and really should be doing better.

The Potters are winless since beating Watford in late October.

Thankfully Swansea rock up to the Staffordshire this weekend and are in even worse form than Stoke.

If Hughes is to get his squad over this hump, a win over the Swans is imperative. 20/23 is a decent price.

Dave Burin

Sheffield Wednesday to beat Hull

The Owls are unbeaten in six games. That run has included an impressive victory at Villa Park in November.

And they host a Tigers side who seem to have lost their claws.

Hull have managed just two points from their previous six, conceding 15 goals in the process.

They’ve also won just once on the road in the past 13 months in all competitions. A Wednesday win looks good at 17/20.

Dan Anwar

Crystal Palace to beat West Bromwich Albion

Crystal Palace have looked much better in recent weeks. And their late winner against Stoke City could be the catalyst to turn their season around.

The Eagles have only lost on one of their last four visits to the Hawthorns. They’re 21/10 to get a crucial win here.

Nick Murphy

Everton to beat Huddersfield

Big Sam is back. And we think he’ll kick-off his Everton tenure with a win against away day no-hopers Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers have lost six of their last seven on the road and have failed to score away from home since the opening day.

Add in that the Toffees have won their last five at home to newly promoted sides, and 4/6 on a Blues win looks like a banker.

So there we go. This weekend’s five-fold is available at 35/1!
