Hibernian v Celtic: Hoops to outscore Hibs in entertaining clash

Hibs betting news

The last two meetings between Hibernian and Celtic have been action-packed affairs. And we’re expecting another goal-filled clash as Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops make the journey to Leith on Sunday.

Hibs have found the net in 20 of their last 21 matches. As for Celtic, they haven’t failed to score in a domestic game since way back in April 2016.

The Hoops won the last meeting between the sides 4-2, and the game before that was 2-2. So we like the look of Over 3.5 Goals at odds of 13/8.

Having won seven and drawn two of their last nine domestic fixtures, the Hoops are likely to take maximum points from Easter Road. So the 21/10 on Celtic to Win and Both Teams to Score looks generously-priced.

Rodgers’ men have scored eight second-half goals in their last four league games. As for the Hibees, they’ve bagged a goal or more after the interval in four of the previous four. Second Half Goals: Over 2.5 could be worth a flutter at 5/2.

While Neil Lennon’s side are unlikely to be hammered by his old club, five of the Bhoys’ last six wins have come by a margin of two or more goals. There’s 13/10 about the Celtic -1 handicap.

James Forrest has bagged three goals in four games. Having also netted three times against the Cabbage previously, he could prove popular in the Anytime Goalscorer market at 21/10.

For the hosts, it’s all about Simon Murray. The former Arbroath prodigy has scored in four of the last six. He’s 12/5 to score against the treble-winners.

In the match betting, Celtic are 4/9 for victory. Hibernian are 11/2 to end the Hoops’ unbeaten domestic streak, while a share of the spoils is 10/3.
