The January transfer window is almost upon us.

Some clubs will only make minor changes to keep things on track. Others will be looking for drastic changes to turn their season around.

We’re taking a look at what all 20 Premier League sides could be after in the January sales.

And Everton are next up…

What they need

They desperately need a proven striker to finally replace Romelu Lukaku.

The team have also been woefully short of pace without Yannick Bolasie and Seamus Coleman.

A centre-back wouldn’t go amiss either. Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka have both been unconvincing and they aren’t getting any younger.

Who they’re targeting

Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud could be looking for regular football to cement his place in France’s World Cup squad. He’d be a great addition.

Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi looks set to be on the move. He’d add extra physicality to the Everton midfield.

Everton scouts have reportedly been monitoring Charlton’s young defender Ezri Konsa too.

Who they might lose

Ross Barkley is reportedly wanted by Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. The boyhood Evertonian is out of contract at the end of the season so the club may cash in.

Davy Klaasen and Sandro Ramirez have also been linked with an exit. Neither summer signing has made an impact at Goodison Park so far.

Final thought

The days when Everton were tipped as a possible top-four contender seem like a long time ago now.

They’re at least moving in the right direction now under Sam Allardyce. A few smart signings could help them seal a top ten finish.
