The January transfer window can make or break a club’s season.

That could certainly be true for Crystal Palace, who sit two points above the drop zone.

The Ladbrokes News Team are running the rule over all 20 Premier League clubs.

And speaking of the Eagles, it’s their turn…

What they need

Palace are severely lacking quality and depth up front. They need a foil for the struggling Christian Benteke, at the very least. And possibly a long-term replacement for the Belgian.

With Wilfried Zaha a possible departure, a winger could also be necessary. As is an experienced, talented central midfielder.

Who they’re targeting

Roy Hodgson is believed to have his sights set on Monaco striker Guido Carrillo. The tall and tricky Argentine has managed four goals in 14 League 1 outings this term.

In midfield, the former England boss could well look to snap up Jack Wilshere from Arsenal.

Talk has also resurfaced of a move for summer 2017 target and Sunderland centre-back, Lamine Kone.

Who they might lose

We’ve mentioned Zaha. With the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City linked, there’s a chance he might not end January as a Palace player.

Ligue 1 side Bordeaux have been linked with a move for Mamadou Sakho, while reports also suggest Sam Allardyce could reunite with Benteke at Everton.

Final thought

Having drastically improved their form under Hodgson, the Eagles are a far more appealing prospect for potential newbies than a few months back.

However, while they could make a couple of savvy winter additions, the potential loss of Zaha would hit them very hard.
