The Ladbrokes Premiership fixture list has thrown up a pair of intriguing ties on Wednesday night. And we’re here to preview both of them.

Last weekend’s League Cup Finalists go head-to-head at Fir Park, while Derek McInnes’ Dons head to Ibrox.

Motherwell v Celtic

These sides meet for the second time in under a week. The previous clash came at Hampden Park in the League Cup Final. Brendan Rodgers’ men eventually won 2-0, but it took until the second half for them to do the damage against 10-man Well.

All things considered, another Celtic victory is likely at 2/7. However, they’ll have to battle for it at Fir Park. The Steelmen have conceded just once in the opening period during their past five home games.

That means Half-Time/Full-Time: Draw/Celtic looks good value at 29/10.

None of Motherwell’s last nine home games have produced over three goals. As for the Hoops, only one of their previous five league outings saw the net bulge more than three times. Celtic to Win and Under 3.5 Goals could prove popular at 13/10.

How about the potential goalscorers, then?

Celtic’s James Forrest is 2/1 to net against this opposition for the third time in succession. Meanwhile, Steelmen striker Louis Moult is 21/10 to add to his tally of 13 goals in all competitions.

Rangers v Aberdeen

The Reds head to Glasgow looking to continue their stellar away record. McInnes’ side have taken 17 points from their seven prior league games, breezing to a 3-1 victory at Kilmarnock on Sunday.

Rangers have also been strong on the road. But it’s been quite another story at Ibrox.

They’ve lost three of their seven home Premiership games, sinking to a 2-0 defeat against Hamilton Academical in the last one. An Aberdeen victory looks good at 27/10.

However, if you’re still not convinced the Dons will prevail, then goals could be the answer.

Five of the previous six meetings have seen both sides register. Both Teams to Score can be backed at 4/6, while Over 2.5 Goals is a 4/5 shot.

One man well-priced to get amongst the goals is Reds’ ace Kenny McLean. The midfielder has found the net in two of the past four games, and is 7/2 to repeat the feat at Ibrox.
