Watford v West Ham: Goal-heavy thriller awaits at Vicarage Road
Sunday’s Premier League action comes from Hertfordshire, as Watford host West Ham United.
Both sides have been struggling of late. The Hornets have lost three on the spin while West Ham are winless in four.
The latter have replaced their manager too, with David Moyes succeeding Slaven Bilic. And Watford are under pressure from Everton for their boss Marco Silva.
So there is plenty at stake.
A draw is 12/5, but the key angle here is goals.
Before this weekend’s action, Watford sit second in the table when it comes to goal action.
The Vicarage Road outfit have seen 3.45 goals in their fixtures so far. Only free-scoring Manchester City have witnessed more.
And West Ham’s games haven’t been dull either, with the Irons’ matches seeing a sixth-highest 3.09 strikes.
Both teams have scored in the last three meetings as well, including a six-goal thriller last season.
Both sides boast plenty of quality up front, while much is left to be desired when it comes to their defending.
There’s no doubt Moyes will attempt to shore things up at his new club.
But this Watford side are desperate to arrest a run of defeats, and are well-equipped to add more misery to the Irons.
