Napoli v Man City: Expect goals as table-toppers meet in UCL

Manchester City odds

Napoli are top of Serie A with 31 points from 11 games. Manchester City occupy top spot in the Premier League with 28 points from 10 fixtures. Both sides have built that success on a fantastic frontline – so goals are very much on the cards as they meet in Campania.

Pep Guardiola’s men won the reverse fixture 2-1, one of 10 City matches this term to produce three or more goals. Over 2.5 Goals in Naples looks a safe bet at 1/2, but it’s the 5/4 on offer for Over 3.5 which looks the more appealing selection.

However, the best value could lie in a flurry of goals before the break. The Citizens have netted before the interval in 10 of their past 13 games, while Partenopei have struck nine times in the first-half of their last eight games.

Both Teams to Score in the First Half is an appealing 5/2, while the 9/2 for Over 2.5 First Half Goals could also prove popular.

For Napoli’s part, it’s hard to see past Dries Mertens finding the net. The prolific Belgian is on 12 for the season, three of those coming in his last two outings. He’s 21/20 to find the net anytime, while 4/1 says he bags Two or More Goals for the ninth time in under a year.

As for City, the best bet could lie with Leroy Sane. The youngster has scored in three of the last five games, but sits as fourth-favourite in the Anytime Goalscorer market at 15/8.

In the match betting, the Citizens are slight favourites at 7/5, with Napoli 33/20 for victory and the draw priced up at 13/5.

However, with seven of the Prem giants’ 12 wins this term coming by two or more goals, the Man City -1 handicap looks better value at a chunky 7/2.
