Chelsea star David Luiz on Real Madrid’s radar this January

Published:

Chelsea defender David Luiz could be about to swap Stamford Bridge for the Bernabeu this January, according to our odds.

The Blues defender is reportedly a top target for Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid.

With rumours circulating, we’ve had no choice but to price the Brazilian up at 2/1 for a move to the Galacticos this January.

Zizou is under pressure in the Spanish capital and a ball playing centre-half like Luiz could be the answer to the Frenchman’s problems.

The 30-year-old is currently in his second spell in West London after rejoining the club from Paris Saint-Germain in 2016.

But all is not rosy at the Bridge.

Luiz is reported to have fallen out with Blues boss Antonio Conte.

And that could be the trigger for the 6ft 2in to jump ship to the continent for the second time in his Chelsea career.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “This one really has come out of nowhere, but changes must be made over in the Spanish capital and a reshaping of Zidane’s back four is looking more and more likely.”
