Harry Kane looks set to start at the Bernabeu for Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League this week. But could the Spurs striker soon be set for a more permanent residence in Madrid?

Ahead of the game, Kane has been cut to even-money for a move to Real Madrid.

It follows comments from Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane that Kane is the complete player.

Traditionally, when the Galacticos come calling, it’s difficult for North London’s finest to turn down a move to the Spanish capital.

Gareth Bale and Luka Modric have both left White Hart Lane for the Bernabeu in the past decade.

Will Kane be the next to follow that well trodden path?

Even if he doesn’t, the odds suggest that the 24-year-old could well depart the Lilywhites sooner rather than later.

Our traders go 9/4 that the England ace leaves Spurs next summer.

Paris Saint-Germain (4/1) and Barcelona (5/1) are potential European destinations.

Meanwhile, Manchester City and Manchester United head the betting in the Premier League. The pair are 6/1 apiece for the striker’s signature.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “It’s looking increasingly hard to see Kane turning down an offer from Real, as it’s surely a case of when and not if they come formally knocking.”
