Punters backing Grace Davies into 15/8 for X Factor glory
Published:Grace Davies has seen her odds of X Factor glory slashed to just 15/8, following a huge bet from a Ladbrokes customer in her hometown of Blackburn.
The punter in question laid down a cool £5,000 on the warehouse worker winning this year’s competition. And despite the cut in odds, the bets on Grace have continued to flood in.
Already something of a YouTube sensation, having racked up over five million views with her cover of Adele’s ‘Hello’, many are understandably convinced she’s heading for glory. However, it’s far from a done deal…
Holly Tandy remains steady in the market at 5/1, followed by brothers Sean & Conor Price (6/1) and boyband Rak-Su (8/1).
Scottish band The Cutkelvins – compared by Simon Cowell to the Black Eyed Peas – are outsiders at 14s, with Kevin Davy White and Matt Linnen available at 16/1 apiece.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Grace is the shortest-priced favourite we’ve ever seen at this stage of the competition, and it would be a huge shock to see her bow out of the show before the final.”
