Aberdeen v Celtic: High-scoring affair on the cards as top two meet

Ladbrokes Prem betting news

Wednesday night produces a crucial clash between the Ladbrokes Premiership’s top two, as Aberdeen host Celtic at Pittodrie.

The pair head into this game unbeaten, and in good goalscoring form. The Dons have found the net in eight of their nine league games, while the Hoops haven’t failed to score this season.

With both teams registering in each of the last two Head-to-Head encounters, Both Teams to Score looks a solid selection at 5/6.

However, the savviest bet in the goals market looks to be Both Teams to Score in First Half at 19/5. The previous two meetings between these sides have been 1-1 and 3-1 (to Celtic) at the interval, so more of the same looks generously priced.

So, who are we tipping to get amongst the goals?

For the Bhoys, it’s Australian Tom Rogic who often does the damage in this fixture.

The 24-year-old has scored in four of the last seven meetings with the Dons. Add the fact he’s scored in five games this season, and he looks good value in the Anytime Goalscorer market at 5/2.

Meanwhile, for Aberdeen, Gary Mackay-Steven will be keen to make a mark against his old club. The midfielder bagged the Reds’ winner at Hibernian last weekend, and he’s 9/2 to register against Brendan Rodgers’ men.

In the match betting, we like the Draw at 3/1, while the Dons can be backed at 5/1 for victory, and Celtic are 8/15 to take maximum points.
