West Indies v England: Morgan’s men to build on first ODI success

After a comfortable victory at Old Trafford, England are odds-on favourites for their second ODI clash with the West Indies at Trent Bridge.
Eoin Morgan’s side go into the game in Nottingham at 2/7, with the tourists priced up as the 11/4 outsiders.
The Windies briefly threatened in Manchester, moving to 102-2, but their remaining eight wickets fell for just 99 runs, and England’s path to victory opened up.
A fine century from Jonny Bairstow – replacing Jason Roy as opener – had the hosts on their way, while Joe Root chipped in with a 54 as England cruised to a seven-wicket success.
It was the perfect start to the five-match series for Morgan’s side, and should ensure England are in even better form in Nottingham.
It’s unlikely now that Morgan will drop Bairstow for Roy, and the Yorkshireman is 3/1 to top-score for England again.
Alex Hales and Root are each 11/4, while Morgan and Ben Stokes at 11/2 and 6/1 respectively will also appeal.
For the Windies, they’ll again be looking to Chris Gayle, Marlon Samuels and Shai Hope.
Gayle hit 37 off 42 in Tuesday’s game, but it remains to be seen what condition he’s in after appearing to be limping slightly once dismissed.
Nevertheless, the 38-year-old is one of the biggest hitters in the game and can’t be ruled out at 11/4 to top-score for the Tourists.
Samuels, for all the talk over his rivalry with Stokes, appeared uncomfortable at the crease in Manchester, picking up just 17 runs of 66 balls.
