We’ve responded by offering 1/2 on Peacock seeing off the former England ace inside the ring.
Meanwhile, Ferdinand has been priced up as a 6/4 shot to win the bout.
The ex-Manchester United captain recently announced his intention to take up the sport and has been training with former WBC super-middleweight title winner Richie Woodhall.
We’re offering 100/1 on Ferdinand to win a World Title, while it’s 7/1 for the 38-year-old to fight on an Anthony Joshua card.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Two legends of Leeds could lock horns in the ring next year, and right now the odds favour the hard man of rugby league over the fairy footballer.”
