With seven high-quality races from Haydock and Newmarket on Saturday, we’re looking forward to another bumper day of action.

The Class 2 Cambridgeshire Handicap is the feature race of the day, where 35-runners are set to go to post at 15:35.

There’s also a pair of Group 2s and a Group 1 clash to get stuck into as the flat season edges towards its climax.

As always we’ve got you covered with our look through the ITV Racing card…

NAP – Clemmie – 14:20, Newmarket

Our NAP this week comes from the Cheveley Park Stakes, where we’re expecting the highly progressive Clemmie to hack up over 6f.

Aidan O’Brien’s two-year-old won over course and distance last time out to land her first Group 2.

The yard won this last year with Brave Anna, and they look poised to make it back-to-back renewal victories with the impressive Clemmie.

With Ryan Moore in the saddle, we’re expecting the daughter of Galileo to maintain her upward trajectory against a tougher field here.

NB – Unfortunately– 14:55, Newmarket

Karl Burke’s colt comes into this off the back of a pair of black-type wins in France.

Unfortunately claimed the Prix Robert Papin before landing the Group 1 Darley Prix Morny from top speedster Havana Grey.

We think the Irish-born raider looks like the real deal.

Jockey Jim Crowley has proven his worth in Group 1 contests this season and will relish the ride on the son of Society Rock.

With conditions not a problem for Unfortunately, we’re backing Crowley’s mount to make it a hat-trick in a competitive 13-runner field.

Lively Longshot – Thundering Blue – 15:35, Newmarket

It’s not particularly fashionable to back the ante-post favourite in the Cambridgeshire.

But we’re going to anyway.

Thundering Blue has all of the credentials to land this Class 2 renewal.

David Menuisier’s four-year-old won at Sandown last time out and is looking for a four-timer on his reappearance here.

He’s defied long-odds before in what has been a breakthrough year for the American-bred jolly.

With 35-runners declared for the Cambridgeshire, this isn’t going to be an easy one to win.

But with everything in his favour, we can’t oppose the classy course winner, even if he’s going over 1m1f for the first time.
