Cavani 4/11 favourite over Neymar to take next PSG penalty

Published:

Edinson Cavani will take Paris Saint-Germain’s next penalty, according to our footy traders. That’s despite Neymar reportedly wanting the responsibility for himself.

Cavani has apparently turned down an incredible €1m from PSG chiefs to hand penalty-taking duties to his Brazilian teammate.

According to media reports, the rift has divided the squad, with the majority standing behind Cavani.

And because of that, we are now offering 4/11 about the Uruguayan stepping up for the French side’s next spot kick.

It’s 15/8 for Neymar to step up from 12 yards for the Parisian giants next.

Cavani is 1/4 favourite to outscore his South American colleague in Ligue 1 this season.

Meanwhile, it’s 5/1 for the spat to result in a January exit for the former Napoli striker.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “This bust-up has captured the attention of the football world but the latest odds are suggesting Cavani isn’t budging and he’ll still be PSG’s main man from 12 yards for the foreseeable future. But at 5/1, there’s every chance the Uruguayan pays the penalty and is forced out of the club in the winter transfer window.”

Peno-gate rumbles on in Paris.
