Away wins for Charlton and Peterborough in the Ladbrokes News Acca

Published:

With the Premier League and Championship having a rest during the international period, it’s time for the lower leagues to shine.

This weekend’s Ladbrokes News Acca focuses on the 15:00 fixtures in League 1, League 2 and the National League.

We’re putting our necks on the line too with a number of away wins, but it could reap some fine rewards.

Here’s who we’re going for this time around…

Richard Marsh

Stevenage to beat Cheltenham

Things are shaping up quite nicely for Stevenage. They’re unbeaten, lie third and will fancy their chances against a Cheltenham side who sit in the bottom two.

Darren Sarll made a few savvy additions during the week too, so they should have everything they need for another three points at Whaddon Road.

Cian Carroll

Peterborough to beat Doncaster

Peterborough United are going for five wins from five games this season and play a Doncaster side with a solitary win to their name.

Grant McCann’s side have also won their last three head-to-heads against Rovers and should make it four on the bounce.

Dave Burin

Shrewsbury to beat Gillingham

The Shrews are among the early season pace-setters in League One. They head to Priestfield to face a Gillingham side who have taken just two points from four games, failing to score on three occasions.

With the Shropshire club collecting eight points from their last four trips to this part of Kent, there’s every chance of Paul Hurst’s men bagging another victory on Saturday.

Nick Murphy

Sutton to beat Maidenhead

Sutton are top of the league with 15 points while Maidenhead are lingering in mid-table after an inconsistent start.

The Magpies also lost top scorer Dave Tarpey to Barnet on deadline day, which should make this one a formality for Paul Doswell’s U’s.

Daniel Anwar

Charlton to beat Oldham

Things are starting to look up for Charlton. They’ve won three of their opening four games in League One. Oldham haven’t picked up a single point yet and their wait is likely to continue here.

The Addicks are building some real momentum and they should have too much for a struggling Oldham side.

So, there we go. Our five-fold acca comes in at an enticing 75/1!
