Arsenal v West Bromwich Albion: Gunners to fire past the Baggies

Published:

The last game of the weekend’s Premier League action sees Arsenal host West Bromwich Albion on Monday Night Football.

With five games of the league season gone the Gunners finally appear to be hitting form.

Arsene Wenger’s side are unbeaten in four going into this one.

In-fact the North Londoners have won their last seven at the Emirates Stadium dating back to last April.

Unsurprisingly a home win is incredibly short at 1/3. The visitors are 17/2 to spring a shock victory, while the draw is 4/1.

However, we think it’s the goal market that makes the most appeal in this one.

Even with Arsenal’s defensive fragility, it doesn’t look likely that West Brom will be able to penetrate the hosts’ backline.

They’ve scored just four goals so far in the Premier League and are yet to notch more than one goal in a single match.

Arsenal to win to nil makes incredible appeal at 6/5.

And while we’re on the subject of short shrift in the attacking department, the Over/Under market has also turned our heads.

It’s 5/4 for there to be Under 2.5 Goals in the game.

But why not double up?

We’ve already established that a home win is likely. And with goals at a premium, odds of 11/4 on an Arsenal win and Under 2.5 Goals are surely too good to miss out on?

In terms of goalscorers it’s hard to look past Alexandre Lacazette.

The ex-Lyon man has netted in both Premier League fixtures at the Emirates so far. He’s 4/5 to continue his hot-streak.

For the Baggies, Jay Rodriguez and Salomon Rondon are best priced at 13/5 apiece to find the net in North London.

Delving slightly deeper into our little book of stats, the Gunners tend to be slow starters.

Three of their five league games so far have been level at the break.

We go 29/10 for Draw/Arsenal in the Half-Time/Full-Time market.
