The final Major of 2017 is upon us this weekend, with the US PGA Championship taking place at Quail Hollow in North Carolina.

Jordan Spieth is eyeing up a career grand slam, while Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy are looking to avoid a Major-less season.

And ahead of the action we’ve picked out the best and biggest three-balls…

Matsuyama/Els/Poulter – 12:45

Hideki Matsuyama is the 5/6 favourite to triumph in this trio alongside Ernie Els and Ian Poulter.

The Japanese ace has shown touches of brilliance this year, and brought it all together with a final round 61 to win the WGC Bridgestone Invitational last weekend.

Watson/Schwartzel/Casey – 13:15

Bubba Watson and Charl Schwartzel may be the Major winners in this group, but it’s England’s Paul Casey who has fared far better on the big stage this year.

Sixth at the Masters and T11 at the Open, Casey is consistent too, while Watson hasn’t bagged a top-20 in a Major since winning at Augusta in 2014.

Koepka/Spieth/Garcia – 13:25

Arguably the standout trio goes out early in the afternoon (BST), as the three Major winners of the year go head-to-head.

The attention, of course, will be on Spieth and his attempt for a career grand Slam.

Koepka is the man to watch though. The American has been superb at Majors this year, with a Masters T11 and Open T6 to back up his US Open win, while Garcia hasn’t posted a top-10 on the PGA Tour since prevailing at Augusta.

Johnson/Day/Stenson – 13:35

All three of Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Henrik Stenson are Major winners, but we just don’t see any of them doing the business this weekend.

It will be fascinating to see how the trio get on though.

DJ still isn’t quite over his fall prior to the Masters, Day has bagged just a pair of top-10 finishes all year, and though Stenson has been improved of late, he missed five cuts from six events across March to June.

Walker/Mickelson/Dufner – 18:25

The only three-ball full of former US PGA champions. Jimmy Walker, Phil Mickelson and Jason Dufner have all shone at various times this year.

Walker flew through the opening two rounds at the Bridgestone Invitational last weekend, while Dufner landed the Memorial tournament in June.

It’s Mickelson who has arguably failed to light it up this year, but we aren’t going to dismiss a man with five Majors and 38 top-10s to his name.

McIlroy/Rahm/Fowler – 18:35

With a T4 at the Open and a T5 last weekend, Rory McIlroy could yet salvage a season hampered by injury and 11/8 say he wins his three-ball.

It’s been a year of highs and lows for Jon Rahm, who picked up six top-fives this year before successive missed cuts at the US Open and Memorial  events.

In contrast, 2017 has arguably been Rickie Fowler’s most consistent season. But will this be the weekend he finally bags that elusive Major?
