Tottenham now odds on to win race for PSG defender
Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier has been linked with a number of clubs this summer but Tottenham Hotspur could now be set to win the race for his signature.
The right-back has reportedly agreed personal terms with Tottenham, as well as Inter Milan and Juventus, and the interested clubs now need to agree a deal with PSG.
Our traders have Spurs as favourites at 5/6, with Premier League rivals Manchester United at 6/5. Inter and Juventus are priced at 12/1 and 20/1 respectively.
Dani Alves’ arrival at PSG will limit Aurier’s playing time this season, though he and the Ligue 1 runners-up had already agreed to part ways before pre-season began.
The Ivory Coast international is a real attacking force on the right flank and he would replace Kyle Walker in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
A potential obstacle for Spurs is Aurier’s outstanding legal issues. The 24-year-old was denied entry to the UK when PSG faced Arsenal last November after being found guilty of assaulting a police officer, though he has appealed against the verdict.
