John Terry 5/1 to be made next permanent Aston Villa manager

John Terry may be in line for a shock early move into management at Aston Villa.

Steve Bruce’s side have suffered a terrible start to the 2017-18 Championship season, languishing in second-last position near the foot of the table.

With just one point from three games, the ex-Hull gaffer is under immense pressure already.

Rumours are floating about the West Midlands that former Chelsea legend, Terry – brought in during the summer to add steel and experience – could be about to usurp him as boss.

Our traders have reacted to the news, installing JT as 5/1 to be Villa’s next permanent manager. And it gets even worse for Bruce with him at 2/1 not to see out the season.

The Villans play Norwich at home on Saturday and a positive result may quell the discontent somewhat, but lose again, and there could be trouble.

Ladbrokes’ spokesperson, Cian Carroll said: “Rumours have been doing the rounds that JT has a clause in his Villa contract that will eventually see him take over from Steve Bruce. That could be sooner than anyone imagined if this form continues.”
