Enable odds-on to beat Winter wherever they meet this season

Our odds-compilers have pitted star fillies Enable and Winter against each other and it’s the former who gets the nod in this hypothetical head-to-head.

We’re offering match betting prices about the pair in both the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and Champion Stakes.

It’s 1/4 for John Gosden’s dual-Oaks heroine Enable to get the better of Winter at Chantilly with Aidan O’Brien’s multiple Group 1 winner a 5/2 outsider to win that particular duel.

Meanwhile, the odds suggest a potential match-up in Ascot’s Champion Stakes would be much closer.

Enable is the slight favourite at 4/7 with Ballydoyle’s Winter chalked up at 5/4.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said; “A clash between this season’s top fillies is a mouth-watering thought. Racing fans are hoping the pair will meet before the season ends, and with that prospect in mind we’ve put them head-to-head in some match bets.

“With the Arc trip looking more suited to Enable, we make her much shorter than Winter, however the odds suggest that the Champion Stakes could be much more of a battle.”
