Four Premier League clubs are set to battle it out for the signature of Benfica winger Andre Carrillo.

The 26-year-old scored twice in 23 appearances last season as the Reds won the Primeira Liga from Porto and reached the last-16 of the Champions League.

His form has alerted the attention of several English clubs with Crystal Palace currently the front runners.

Eagles’ manager Frank de Boer has kept his purse strings wired shut for the majority of the summer, but a move for the Peruvian winger looks increasingly on the cards.

The South Londoners need competition on the flanks and with Carrillo also capable of playing up front; he would add versatility to the SE25 ranks.

Our traders fancy the 5ft 11in wideman to make the move to Selhurst Park and have priced him up at 9/4.

Palace could face competition however, with Stoke City also interested in signing the ace.

The Potters are in desperate need of reinforcements.

With Marko Arnautovic, Glenn Whelan and Jonathan Walters departed for pastures new, City have a midfield shaped hole in their starting line-up.

It all means that manager Mark Hughes could be about to whip out his chequebook for the first time this summer.

Let’s not forget the Welshman is not averse to spending a pretty penny.

Remember the £18.3m for Giannelli Imbula?

And with Carrillo available at a cut price £6m, the ex-Fulham boss could be about to act.

With that in mind we like the winger to head to Stoke at 4/1.

Newcastle United and Watford are also keeping tabs on the situation, although the Hornets have cooled their interest since the start of the window.

You can still get 12/1 for the star to move to Vicarage Road.

Newcastle are available at 9/2.
