Celtic v Hearts: In-form Hoops to breeze to another Parkhead win

Celtic betting news

The well-oiled Celtic engine is showing no signs of spluttering as we head into this Ladbrokes Premiership campaign, with the Hoops having knocked Norwegian heavyweights Rosenborg out of the Champions League.

And logic suggests they’ll have no trouble on opening day against Heart of Midlothian.

Brendan Rodgers’ men have won each of their last six meetings against the Jam Tarts, meaning they justify their price of 1/5 to win – with the draw priced up at 5/1 and 14/1 about a shock Hearts win.

However, with the hosts such short odds to simply take the three points, the best value lies elsewhere.

With the Hoops having kept three consecutive clean sheets in this fixture, the 20/23 for Celtic to Win to Nil looks like something of a banker. Especially so with the Glasgow giants having conceded just once in their last five games at Parkhead, all of which they won.

One man likely to get amongst the goals for the hosts is Tom Rogic, with the Australian finding the net in four of the Hoops’ last seven games. He’s 7/5 to register anytime, while 5/1 says he’s the Last Goalscorer for the ninth time in under a year.

Elsewhere, with the hosts having won the second half in eight of their past 10 games, the 2/5 for Second Half Result: Celtic looks like easy money, while the 6/4 Celtic-1 handicap for the second period could also prove a savvy selection.

However, for those who do fancy the managerless visitors to at least find the net, Kyle Lafferty is the man you should be looking at. Despite Hearts’ poor League Cup run, he’s bagged four goals in four games for the Tynecastle club, and is 14/5 to net here.
