Amazing midweek £5 acca lands punter a mega £36k

One savvy punter turned £5 into a staggering £36,303.23 last night, after correctly predicting the results of six Carabao Cup fixtures.

In a major episode of bookie bashing, the Birmingham-based customer selected Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland and Burton Albion ALL to win, with both sides scoring in every game.

Four of the six games selected finished 2-1, but the punter needed no less than FOUR goals in the final 10 minutes of Tuesday night’s fixtures.

Crystal Palace were 1-0 up at home to Ipswich with just six minutes of normal time to play before James McArthur netted his second of the night, although it took a 91st minute consolation goal from the visitors courtesy of Bersant Celina to ensure one leg of this acca was ticked off.

Elsewhere, a shock goal in the 88th minute for Accrington Stanley against the Baggies coupled with an 80th minute winner from Lynden Gooch for Sunderland against Carlisle meant every leg of the six-fold had landed.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We’re still in August but this has to go down as an early contender for bet of the season. Was it luck? Was it skill? Either way our Brummie punter won’t mind and we’re delighted for him!”
