The fixtures for the 2017-18 Serie A campaign are out, and there’s one mammoth end-of-season clash immediately catching the eye.

That game sees Roma host Juventus at Stadio Olimpico on Matchday 37, in what could be a genuine title decider between last season’s top two, with only four points separating them last term.

However, the pair’s Christmas meeting (23 December to be precise) could also prove pivotal in the title race.

Elsewhere, newly promoted SPAL begin their first top-flight campaign in 49 years with a home encounter against Lazio, while Serie A first-timers Benevento make their bow away to Sampdoria.

“But what about the derbies?”, we hear you cry.

The first of the major city clashes sees the Old Lady host Torino on 24 September, with Inter Milan v AC Milan three weeks later, and the first Rome derby arriving on 19 November.

As for big guns Napoli, they don’t currently have a local rival at this level, but games against title rivals Juventus tend to be spicy affairs – especially so since Gonzalo Higuain’s switch from Naples to Turin.

The first of those meetings comes on 3 December, but it’s the meeting at Juventus Stadium on 3 April which could be make-or-break for the former’s title hopes.
