Our F1 expert is backing Bottas and Alonso to come alive in Austria

After the drama in Azerbaijan, the Austrian Grand Prix should be a tasty weekend.
Battle will resume between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel after their controversial clash in Baku, but with no further punishment handed out after an investigation between races the German retains a 14-point advantage.
Hamilton will hope to hit back after missing out on victory last time out, but here are three other markets to take a look at this weekend.
Bottas to be fastest qualifier @ 3/1
Although Valtteri Bottas missed out on pole position here for Williams here in 2014 – qualifying second to team-mate Felipe Massa – this represents a good chance to secure his second pole of the season.
Team-mate Lewis Hamilton has traditionally struggled slightly at the Red Bull Ring, with Nico Rosberg often the stronger of the former Mercedes pair over the past three years.
The signs from the last race are that Mercedes has regained its qualifying advantage, so if that’s the case it will be a straight fight between Hamilton and Bottas.
Both Williams to finish in the points @ 6/4
A repeat bet from Baku, where this result was close to happening until a rear suspension problem ruled out Felipe Massa when comfortably in the top six.
Lance Stroll has shown huge improvement in the last two races and delivered an excellent podium in Azerbaijan, while Massa has been on pole in Austria for Williams before.
The power-sensitive circuit should suit Williams, it’s just down to the team to have a clean weekend with both cars.
Fernando Alonso to reach Q3 @ 11/4
This is a proper outside bet, but Alonso delivers when given a sniff and Honda is bringing an upgraded power unit to Austria.
The spec three engine performed encouragingly during practice in Azerbaijan and the McLaren is a good chassis, so if Honda can provide a decent step forward then Alonso is capable of putting it in the midfield mix.
