Odds suggest Terry could play huge part in Villa’s promotion bid
John Terry will play a huge part in Aston Villa’s Premier League promotion push next season, according to the latest odds.
The former Chelsea captain completed a move to the West Midlands outfit today and we’ve reacted by going just 1/3 he plays 30+ league games for his new club next season.
We’re also offering odds of 2/5 on Terry grabbing two or more goals next term, while 7/4 says he wins promotion with Aston Villa at any stage in his career.
A mid-season Villa Park exit looks unlikely at 6/1, and there’s even less chance of Terry taking over from Steve Bruce as boss for the 2018-19 season (20/1).
And with Villa set to kick-off their campaign at home against Hull City, it’s just 5/1 the former England skipper gets on the scoresheet.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Villa fans must still be pinching themselves, but the fact of the matter is that Terry is now officially now one of their own – and our traders reckon he’ll play a huge part in his new side’s promotion push next season.”
