Odds slashed on Walker to Man City after Alves chooses PSG

Kyle Walker is now heavily odds-on to join Manchester City this summer, after Pep Guardiola missed out on Dani Alves.

Our traders have slashed the odds on the Tottenham Hotspur ace joining the Citizens, and Walker is now just 1/5 from 8/11 to make the move.

The chop in odds comes in the wake of Alves turning the Citizens down to join French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain.

It’s believed Walker’s transfer fee could reach £50m, and that he’s the one player Tottenham are willing to sell this summer.

The England international reportedly fell out with coach Mauricio Pochettino towards the back end of last season, and didn’t feature in either of Spurs’ final two league games.

Plus, it’s believed they have enough confidence in Kieran Trippier to allow Walker to head north.

Five of Trippier’s six league starts last season came in the final two months of the campaign, in a handing of the baton for the right-back role.

While Pochettino and Daniel Levy may be happy to part ways with Walker, they remain resolute on keeping Eric Dier.

But with Manchester United set to launch an improved offer to the 23-year-old, Dier is now just 7/4 to make the move to Old Trafford, in from 5/2.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “These are worrying times for Tottenham fans, and the latest odds suggest both Walker and Dier are edging closer and closer to Manchester.”
