Liverpool winger Lazar Marković on his way to Watford?

While Liverpool may be trying to keep hold of one attacker in Phillippe Coutinho, another, Lazar Marković, looks set to depart from Anfield this summer.

The wideman has long been out of favour on Merseyside and has made just 34 appearances for Jürgen Klopp’s side since his £20m move from Benfica in 2014.

A troubled time in the North-West, accompanied by disappointing loan spells abroad with Fenerbahçe and Sporting Lisbon, look to have seriously diminished the midfielder’s value.

It means the once highly rated player could be available for a cut price fee in a deal that will alert the mid-table Premier League pack.

Possible moves for the 24-year-old include West Ham United and Hull City, although the likely destination appears to be Watford.

The Hornets are now managed by former Tigers boss Marco Silva who signed Marković during his brief stint at the KCOM Stadium last season.

While on loan in East Yorkshire, Marković showed signs of improvement, making 12 Premier League appearances, and scoring twice, against Middlesbrough and Watford.

A move to Vicarage Road would suit the Serbia international, who will still hold ambitions of turning out for his national team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
