ITV Racing Tips: Rajasinghe to rule day one with July Stakes win

It’s day one of the July Festival at Newmarket and we’re all set for a cracking day of racing live on ITV.
With the Grade Two July Stakes and the Princess of Wales’s Stakes to look forward to, we’ll try and find some winners for you amongst the many runners.
We’re going with Richard Spencer’s highly-rated colt as our NAP in the July Stakes.
Yes, there’s cases to be made for other horses but the Choisir colt is unbeaten in his first two races – including a thrilling win at Royal Ascot last month – and looks a safe bet at 2/1 favourite.
Despite giving away 3lbs to the rest of the field, we reckon he’ll be too good again in this renewal.
There’s a hugely competitive field going in the Princess Of Wales´s Arqana Racing Club Stakes with just 6lbs between the six runners.
While it’s tight, we really like the look of John Gosden’s Wings Of Desire for this renewal. The four-year-old colt has only run once since last August – a fifth place finish in the Hardwicke Stakes – but should have come on leaps and bounds since then.
If you’re looking for a lively longshot then you’ve come to the right place. Looking at the trends of this race over the last few years, a favourite hasn’t tasted victory in 11 renewals.
Kevin Ryan’s three-year-old Tommy Taylor looks an interesting prospect at 14/1. With three placed finishes from six runs on the flat, finishing in third last time out, he’s primed to go a couple of places better here.
