Hull FC v Leeds: Stats point to a narrow win for Rhinos

Current Ladbrokes Challenge Cup holders Hull FC host 2015 winners Leeds Rhinos in a colossal Semi-Final matchup at the Keepmoat Stadium.

But while their respective pedigree in this competition might suggest this game could go either way, the pair’s head-to-head record points firmly towards a Leeds victory.

The Rhinos have won all of their last seven meetings with the Airlie Birds – with four of those victories taking place in Hull. So they’re just as dominant in this fixture away from Headingley.

That means we like the look of Leeds in the match betting at odds of 11/10, with Hull 5/6 market favourites and 18/1 on offer for a tie.

However, while we’re confident of a Rhinos triumph, the margin of victory is likely to be a modest one.

Two of the last three meetings have been settled by five points or less. That means the 11/2 on offer for Leeds to win by 1-5 points on Saturday looks like good value, while a Rhinos win by 1-10 is priced up at 13/5.

One man who could well make a crucial contribution for the visitors is Ryan Hall. The winger has made it over the line in two of Leeds’ last three games. So he looks well priced for a Try anytime at odds of 11/8.

For Hull’s part, it’s hard to look past Albert Kelly. He’s already notched up 17 tries in Super League this season, so will prove popular to grab another Try here – also priced at 11/8.

With McDermott’s men also having trailed at half-time and gone on to win in two of their last seven games, there could be plenty of value in backing Half-Time/Full-Time: Hull FC/Leeds at odds of 15/2.
